Last year, a friend recommended “Praying the Bible” by Donald S. Whitney. As we have been going through a series on prayer so I thought it could be a good read.
It was.
And it was a short read too. So here’s a quick sketchnote summary of the book.
One of the parts that I found interesting was how we can use a passage to prompt us to pray for other topics. It might seem a bit controversial, but Donald explained it well.
The passage’s meaning doesn’t change and we should still work out the meaning of the text, but the words can prompt us. This is okay because we can pray about anything so using a passage to prompt us doesn’t change that.
